About BIA
The apex body of Bangladesh's private insurance companies
Established on 25 April 1988 with 13 founding member companies, the Bangladesh Insurance Association represents the private insurance industry, supports an effective regulatory environment and promotes ethical market conduct.
Association work is carried out through the Executive Committee and specialist sub-committees covering technical practice, claims, training, reinsurance, investment and technology.
